Picton of Haroldston West Branch

by Brian Picton Swann

A This is what I call the Picton of Haroldston West branch. But the family originally came from Haverfordwest and Hook in the parish of Llangwm. Thomas Picton then moved out to Williamston Farm in the parish of Haroldston West. One of his sons, Henry Picton, moved back to Jordanston Hill in the parish of Llanstadwell, then to Newton (which has probably disappeared under the Waterston Oil Refinery, built since this map was made) and then on to Herbrandston.

The family then migrated via Pembroke Dock and Bermuda up to Barrow-in-Furness.
