4. Rev. Gabriel (Gab) REES was born in 1757 in Llanglydwen, Carmarthenshire, Wales. He was second wife (Mary Nicholas), was a widow, near to Rhydwilym, in the parish of Llandissilio. in 1782. He was had to pay a land tax in 1789 in Llanninos, Carmarthen, Wales. He was a Baptist Minister at Rhydwilym. He travelled by horseback 15 miles from his home at Panthowell between 1789 and 1807 in Rhydwilym, Carmarthenshire; Bethel & Carmel, Pembrokeshire. He was wife buried at Glandwr, Mary wife of Gabriel Rees on May 23, 1789 in Glandwr Chapel Records. He was ordained on June 15, 1789 in Rhydwilym, Carmarthenshire, Wales. He was may had to pay land tax for tenant Mrs Wm. Morris in 1798 in Llandissilios, Carmarthen, Wales. He was buried in May 1807 in Llanfurnach, Glandwr Baptist Chapel, Pembrokeshire. He was (Gravestone located between the the two main doors to the Chapel.) in May 1807. He died on May 21, 1807 in Trelech a'r Bettws, Carmarthenshire, Wales. He was belonged to the group of revivalist preachers who were nicknamed ‘ the people of the strange fire'. He was He owned quite a lot of property around the area. He was married to Sarah THOMAS (2nd wife) on April 1, 1786 in Llanwinio Parish Church.
